We would also like to congratulate County Councilman Dale Devon for being elected Vice-President Pro Tempore for the County Council. We are proud to have such strong conservatives in leadership positions! |

On January 1, 2012 Mayor Dave Wood and Mishawaka Councilmen Mike Bellovich, John Reisdorf, Marsha McClure and Dan Balancio took their oaths of office in a ceremony held in the Mishawaka Council Chambers.
South Bend Councilman Dave Varner also took his oath of office on January 1st at a ceremony at the Century Center in South Bend.

The District Chairs will be meeting on the 2nd Saturday of every month at 9:00 am. This meeting will be held at the County Party Headquarters. If you would like to be a District Chair, or if you would like to have an item placed on the agenda, please contact Andrea Welch at 574-309-3076. The District Chairs at as an advisory board to the County Party Central Committee., and are comprised of a Chair and Vice-Chair representing each of the 12 Common Council districts in South Bend and Mishawaka, and five Chairs and Vice-Chairs from the Townships. In January, our meeting will be held on Saturday, January 14th at 9:00 am in the board room at our Headquarters. If you have any ideas or concerns you would like to bring before the District Chair committee, you are welcome to attend, but please contact Andrea so your item can be put on the agenda. |

This month, come and hear from our Executive Director, Jake Teshka. Lunch is just $10.00, and this includes entree, drink, and gratuity. As usual, it will be held at Honker's Restaurant on Day Road in Mishawaka. The room is open at 11:45 am, and we will wrap things up by 1:00 pm. Hope to see you there! |

St. Joseph County Republican Women are asked to bring a salad, side dish or dessert to share with everyone to their Monday, November 14th “Pot Luck Dinner” meeting. The Club will provide paper products, beverages and delicious chicken from Allie’s Café. The “Pot Luck Dinner” meeting begins at 6:00 pm at County Party Headquarters. At our October Director’s meeting, Jeanette Moeller, chair of the committee presented the following slate of officers for 2012/2013: Daphne Stewart for Treasurer; Susan Lingar for Secretary; Lindsey Mustard will remain 3rd VP; Elena Wood for 2nd VP; Beth Courtney for 1st VP and Nancy Sriver for President. We’ll ask all members present at the November meeting to vote for these officers. Christine Murdock is putting together a program to show photos from the trip some of us took this summer to Grand Rapids. We visited the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum and Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. Both places were very worthwhile seeing. We’ll also conduct a “straw-poll” vote for the Republican Presidential candidates for 2012. Do you have a favorite? Let’s see which candidate garners the most votes of our members. |

I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude and thanks to all of the people who worked at polling locations on Tuesday. It isn't glamorous or exciting work, and the hours are long; but when your community, and your Party needed you, you rose to the occasion, volunteered, and worked to ensure free and fair elections.
